Campus Gallery
WELCOME Street View
KLA Academy’s campus features 131,000 square feet of thoughtfully designed spaces. Located on a corner lot, it features two entrances: the Preschool Lobby is accessible through SW 4th Ave, and the Elementary Lobby is accessible through SW 15th Road.
EXPRESS Performing Arts Theater
Our contemporary theater showcases a 230-seat auditorium, main stage and backstage areas, drop-down projector screen, and tech booth for light and sound in the back. We hold many events in our theater, including student performances, Parent Association meetings, professional development gatherings, guest speakers and performers, and more.
TEAMWORK Multisport Court
Our multi-purpose hard court can accommodate a variety of different sports, such as tennis, basketball, volleyball, and badminton. Modular backboards and nets transform the court as needed Located in our rooftop sports complex on the 5th floor, our hard court is used everyday for recess, Physical Education classes, and extracurriculars.
SCORE Soccer Field
Located in our rooftop sports complex on the 5th floor, our turf soccer field and adjacent green field are used daily for play, recess, P.E. classes, extracurricular activities, after care, and events such as Field Day.
EXPERIENCE Aerial View
In January 2022, KLA Academy moved to its new, state-of-the-art, five-story campus in the heart of Brickell. Our campus has over 130,000 square feet of age-appropriate spaces, including classrooms, playgrounds, indoor and outdoor sports complexes, theater, art and music studios, and much more to create a sense of belonging and purpose for each child.
HEALTH Dining Hall
Our dining hall is full of natural light, with floor-to-ceiling windows and beautiful views. It is also home to a vertical garden and learning kitchen. Round tables promote conversation and friendship amongst our students.
FLIK Independent School Dining is our dining service partner. Their mission is to provide wholesome, nutritious meals that fuel the minds of our community each day. FLIK’s fresh and balanced menus are flexible, age appropriate, and customized for a wide range of allergies and dietary restrictions.
INTENTIONAL Learning Studio
Our classroom spaces invite creation. We consider the intentionally curated environment and materials within to be the "third teacher." Our spaces empower students to act on their curiosity, prompting critical thinking, collaboration, and collective communication. Pictured here, one of our Kindergarten classrooms.
PLAY Preschool Playground
The vision for our modern preschool playground was to create a place where children can enjoy the very best parts of childhood. A covered outdoor space with fresh air and natural sunlight, it’s one of student’s favorite areas on campus. The design and equipment in our playground promotes adventure and encourages development of crucial gross motor skills, helping children become more adept at moving and controlling their bodies.
DESIGN Atelier
Our Art Atelier features hundreds of different materials accessible to children and within reach. Its floor-to-ceiling windows provide inspiration and warmth. Truly a workshop of discovery, students create artistic masterpieces on a daily basis.
SOUND Music Studio
Our Music Studio features built-in shelves and closets which are filled with dozens of musical instruments. The studio’s ceilings feature soundproofing panels for a fully-immersive musical experience. There is ample space for movement, dancing, and for assembling choir and band.
