KLA Academy is committed to the professional development of its faculty and we encourage growth at all levels. Here, individuals and teams can expand and deepen their skills as educators, as well as develop autonomy, mastery, and purpose in their work. Professional development at KLA Academy includes weekly meetings with Division Directors, periodic workshops, in-class observation, and single-session seminars throughout the school year.

At KLA Academy, we believe children are confident, responsible, independent, creative, and curious beings. This philosophy is inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach, an educational framework born in Italy after WWII, that offers children endless possibilities and opportunities to be in charge of their own learning. Teachers seen as are partners who listen, observe, inquire, document, work together, and reflect upon children’s experiences in order to enhance the learning process. Therefore, teachers have a deeper, holistic understanding of each child. The Reggio Emilia Approach caters to and challenges children’s learning process, encouraging students to think deeper, explore their interests through stimulating projects, and ask questions as they research different theories. 

KLA Academy is located in the heart of Brickell, across the street from Triangle Park and less than a mile from downtown Miami.  We are adjacent to The Roads, a neighborhood known for its old homes, historic private schools, and its tree-covered streets. We are walking distance to restaurants, shops, and stores, and our area is served by buses and by the Miami Metrorail by the Brickell station.

Our state-of-the-art campus has over 130,000 square feet of age-appropriate spaces, including classrooms, playgrounds, indoor/outdoor sports complexes, theater, art and music studios, and much more to create a sense of belonging and purpose for each child.
